no-poo… whaaaat

So I’ve been dealing with this scalp irritation, which I originally thought was dandruff, for a few years now and it’s continued to get progressively worse no matter which kind of shampoos I used. So after doing some research I came to the conclusion that it’s probably all the ridiculous chemicals in shampoos that are causing my scalp to go crazy. So I researched some more natural remedies to “wash” hair and the most simple and effective one seems to be one referred to as “no-poo hair.” It sounds a little weird because it literally only consists of water, baking soda, vinegar, and some essential oil of your choosing. So I followed the protocol and started it today. I had read that it usually takes a few weeks for your hair to adjust to this new regiment. So now that my hair is dry I can be sure when I say this…

My hair feels amazingly soft, clean, and light. My scalp feels less irritated than normal. My hair also has a beautiful extra shine to it (not a greasy kind). If this is day 1 and it’s only supposed to get better then I am super pumped and for sure plan on continuing this no-poo hair regiment.
